On June 1, 2025, the Children's Festival, dedicated to International Children's Day, was held in the park of the Heydar Aliyev Center. The  Children's Festival organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Heydar Aliyev Center, and the Ministry of Science and Education. The unique presentation of the Central Botanical Garden, along with various entertainment and educational zones at the festival, aroused great interest among children and parents.
The Central Botanical Garden demonstrated its rare and exotic plants in a special zone allocated to it. Unusual and interesting plants such as Bougainvillea (Bougainvillea), Ficus benjamina (Ficus benjamina), Dieffenbachia (Dieffenbachia), Rosemary (Salvia Rosmarinus), Abelia (Abelia), Nepenthes Gaya (Nepenthes khasiana “gaya”), Pittosporum (Pittosporum), etc. were presented at the event. Visitors received detailed information about these plants.
A special master class was also organized for children. During the master class, the children learned firsthand how to plant geraniums in pots. At the end of the training, the children took home the plants they had planted as a result of their growing interest in nature.
The event also demonstrated scientific and educational publications of the Central Botanical Garden. These publications include “Houseplants and Rules of its Care”, “Crocus”, “Aloe”, “Introduction of Lianas in Absheron”, “In Search of Vines”, “Flora and Vegetation of the Hircan National Park”, “Floristry”, “Explanatory Dictionary of Botanical Terms”.
Such events organized within the framework of the festival increase children's interest in nature and, at the same time, cause them to approach the environment with more responsibility and care.
