A reportage dedicated to the activities of the Central Botanical Garden and the innovations implemented there was broadcast on the “Start the Day” program of Azerbaijan Television.
In the reportage, Associate Professor Ofeliya Gafarova, PhD in Biology and Head of the Laboratory for the Introduction and Selection of Ornamental Plants, gave an interview where she stated that numerous varieties of roses, both local and imported from various countries around the world, are cultivated at the Central Botanical Garden, and each variety is cared for in accordance with its specific agrotechnical requirements.
She also noted that a new rose variety has been developed in the Garden. Named “Old Baku,” this variety has already been officially registered in the State Register with the relevant patent and copyright certificate.
The reportage also highlighted ongoing innovations at the Garden, and featured engaging interviews with young visitors, conveying their curiosity about nature and plants to viewers through the program.
