The official delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, comprising high-ranking government officials, visited the Central Botanical Garden. These officials included the First Deputy Khokim of Tashkent City, Heydarov Bakhtiyar Khalimovich; the responsible officer of the Cabinet of Ministers, Akhrarov Uktam; the mayor of Olmazor District Umarkhonov Azizkhon Sharifkhonovich, the head of the Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations of the Tashkent City Administration, Pulatov Diyor Bahramjanovich and other officials.
During the visit, the head of the press service of the Baku City Executive Power, Matin Huseynov, and other representatives, including the Chairman of the Board of the Central Botanical Garden, Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor Ali Jafarov, and his scientific staff, provided the guests with detailed information about the gardens history, reconstruction and construction works. They said that, as a result of the improvement and reconstruction works, the gardens area increased from 39 to 45 hectares; the existing greenhouse was repaired; and a lake complex, fountain, greenhouse, bridge, and three-block greenhouse for growing plants were built.
The Head of the Laboratory of Tropical and Subtropical Plants, Ayten Huseynova, introduced the guests to the greenhouses and told them that they grow rare decorative plant species from around the world. At the end of the visit, the guests discussed the expansion of opportunities for bilateral cooperation between the Botanical Gardens of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
